Plotting is the backbone of your story – no matter what your genre – and understanding the basics of plotting will help you get your story into shape and provide a launching point for writing.

Every participant will leave with a toolbox full of skills including: planning tips, a look at different plot structures, finding the right structure for you and fixing your story when it starts to sag. It covers the key elements of plot such as: point of view, characters, increasing tension, structure and editing. It is also a great opportunity to meet and network with fellow writers.

Tea and coffee making facilities will be provided. Course participants are advised to bring their own lunch as there are no cafes within easy walking distance.

Student Requirements
Bring lunch, some pens, a notebook and the first page of a story.
