Children’s and Young Adult Literature Festival

On Saturday 30 June, the flagship festival of the NSW Writers’ Centre calendar returns with another day of discussion, panels, networking, industry insights from authors, playwrights, illustrators, publishers and editors.

Curated by Susanne Gervay, this year’s Festival will showcase Australian and international writers, illustrators, publishers and agents including Sally Murphy, multi-award winning author of Pearl Versus the World and Toppling will be here from New Zealand; Corinne Fenton, one of Australia’s best picture book authors will be travelling from Victoria; award winning author, scriptwriter and producer Pamela Rushby, whose new novel The Horses Didn’t Come Home has just been published, will be joining us from Queensland; Nina Rycroft, illustrator of the acclaimed Ballroom Bonanza will be flying in from New Zealand; and continuing our international focus, the keynote address “What the world is publishing”, will be delivered by Jill Corcoran, literary agent with the Herman Agency in New York.

Joining our writers and illustrators will be representatives from ABC Books, Five Mile Press, HarperCollins, Random House and Walker Books.

There will be book stall courtesy of Gleebooks, plenty of free parking, a cafe with deli-style food and coffee is open all day.
