Writing YA
Lili Wilkinson
Do you have a great idea for a young adult novel, but you’re not sure where to start, or how to write YA? Have you started the same story over and over but it keeps falling apart or grinding to a halt? Chances are the problem is with plot or character. Join award-winning YA novelist Lili Wilkinson for this hands-on, practical workshop.
By the end of the day, you’ll have a fully plotted YA story, ready to write! Drawing on your new idea or work-in-progress, you’ll practise brainstorming strategies to develop your plot and characters, and learn how to develop those ideas into a full novel outline.

- Learn simple strategies for brainstorming plot and character
- Follow a story from initial spark of idea, to a fully plotted outline
- Apply these strategies to your own work in progress
