Stacey Miers
Stacey Miers is a Planning Officer with Shelter NSW, and has had a lifelong commitment to delivering housing through the lens of social justice. Much of her work is informed by her childhood growing up in a boarding house in inner Sydney Newtown. Her commitment to housing justice and land use planning is about lived experience and informed values. She was an activist involved in the green ban’s movement and anti-freeway campaigns. She went on to become a town planner, focusing on sustainability and social equity in the form of decent, affordable housing, fresh air, and clean water.
