Enrolments

All participants must book and pay in advance to secure their place. Students who have not enrolled and made payment prior to the course commencement date will not be permitted to attend.

You can enrol in any course here on our website. Writing NSW also accepts phone or in person enrolments.

By enrolling, you confirm that you have read and understood the course description, including any FAQs and participation requirements provided.

Participation in courses and other professional development opportunities is at the absolute discretion of Writing NSW. All participants are required to follow reasonable instructions given to them by tutors or staff, to show respect to tutors and other course participants and to avoid causing disruption for other participants and/or users of the building.

Cheques and Money Orders

Enrolments by cheque or money order can only be taken by phone. Call us on (02) 9555 9757 to secure your place. However, please be aware that Writing NSW will only hold a place for you one week after the booking date. If cheque, money order or cash is not received by this date, the student’s place in the course is no longer guaranteed. Payment via these methods must be received no later than the Monday before the course starts.

Concession Prices

Concessions are available to members who hold a valid Seniors, Pension, Health or full-time Student card; to members living in regional NSW; and to members aged 18-25.

Payment by Instalment

Students who are unable to pay their course fee as one sum may be eligible to pay for payment by instalment. Contact us for more information.

Cancellation Policy

Please choose your course carefully. Once your enrolment has been processed we cannot refund (either in full or part of) your course fee. We cannot accept responsibility for changes in your work or personal commitments that prevent your attendance.

In the event that you should wish to withdraw from a course, you must inform Writing NSW at least fourteen days in advance of course commencement to receive a full credit. Withdrawals with at least seven days prior to course commencement will be eligible for a 50% credit.

If Writing NSW cancels or withdraws a course for whatever reason, you can choose to either receive a credit or be refunded in full.

Food and Drink

Writing NSW provides tea and coffee making facilities. Course participants are advised to bring their own lunch as there are no cafes within close walking distance.

What to Bring

All course participants should bring pen, paper and their lunch. Individual courses may have other requirements. Check the course description for details.

Course Location

Unless otherwise stated, all our courses are held at Writing NSW in Lilyfield. View location for more details. When you arrive at Writing NSW, there will be a sign directing you to your room.

Under 18s

The minimum age for enrolment in Writing NSW courses is 16, unless otherwise specified. Students aged under 18 wishing to apply for courses other than those specifically designed for young people must make a request to Writing NSW at least two weeks prior to the course start date. Enrolment will be at the discretion of Writing NSW and cannot be guaranteed.
