The Writer & Scientist Grant was awarded by Writing NSW to foster connections between writing and the STEM sector (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). The grant supported a NSW-based writer and scientist or technologist wishing to work together on a joint writing-related project that helps to foster a vibrant, diverse and innovative writing culture in NSW.
The Writer & Scientist Grant has been indefinitely suspended and is not currently open to applications.
The writer and scientist must apply jointly for the grant of $2000 ($1000 each). Scientists may work in any field of science or technology, including medicine, mathematics, science, engineering or IT. Writers may work in any genre and be at any stage of their writing career.
