2 – 8 April: Online: Writing Compelling Climate Fiction with Amanda Niehaus (Online)
In this course, writers learn ways to inspire curiosity, introspection and awe in readers to incite connection and change. Join trained biologist and award-winning writer Amanda Niehaus, to delve into the world of climate fiction.

3 April: An Evening with author Sophie Green: Art Hour at the Duchess Hotel (Bankstown)
Join Australian bestselling author Sophie Green for an evening of inspiration as she shares the story behind her latest novel.

3 April: Book Launch with Amy Matthews (Sydney)

3 April: Saman Shad in conversation with Alicia Vrajlal (Sydney)

3 April: The Drop Off: David Stavanger with Omar Sakr, Toby Fitch and Jennifer Wong (Sydney)

4 – 6 April: Newcastle Writers Festival (Newcastle)

4 April: First Friday with David Stavanger (Online)
This First Friday, join one of Red Room’s Artistic Directors, David Stavanger, as he discusses different approaches to publishing, the current landscape for poets, and why the printed word might not be the only published word for today’s writers.

5 April: Craft of Fiction: Form and Structure with Anthony Macris (Sydney)
This one-day workshop with one of Australia’s leading teachers of creative writing, Anthony Macris, is designed for intermediate to advanced fiction writers who wish to develop their skills in how to structure either a short story or longer fiction manuscript (novel or novella).
