Fiona Kelly McGregor is a writer, artist, critic and teacher with over thirty years’ experience. Fiona has published eight books and been shortlisted for many awards, receiving The Age Book of the Year for Indelible Ink, and a Queensland Literary Award (Steel Rudd) for Suck my Toes. Fiona’s essay ‘The Hot Desk’ was awarded the Woollahra Digital Literary Award, and her short stories also have won and been shortlisted for various awards. Fiona has conducted seminars on her books at universities, and given lectures internationally on topics pertaining to writing, performance art, urban histories, memoir, street culture, activism, LGBTIQ politics and more. Fiona has taught a variety of creative writing subjects including short stories and novels, narrative non-fiction, arts and music criticism, and short form journalism. Fiona has also taught English as a second language. Fiona has mentored extensively, with several mentees progressing to publication as well as being shortlisted for awards.
