Kirsten Tranter

Kirsten Tranter is the author of the novels Hold, longlisted for the Miles Franklin Award and the Voss Literary Award, A Common Loss and The Legacy. Her short fiction appears in journals and collections including her Edgar-nominated story in the recent Sydney Noir (2019) and she publishes essays, journalism, reviews, and criticism. Kirsten is a co-founder of the Stella Prize for Australian women’s writing. She is now based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
