Jess Black
Jess Black is an award-winning author of over forty children’s books. Jess’s latest series, Pepper Creek Ponies is based on her own adventures owning and riding horses. Jess has written the Tales of Mr Walkerseries about a dog who comes to live in the fanciest hotel in town. She has also written the Kitty is Not a Cat! series about a little girl who believes she can be anything she dreams – even a cat!
Jess has also written the Little Paws series and the Keeper of the Crystals series; and is co-author of the hugely successful Bindi Wildlife Adventure series, the Kaboom Kid series and the Animal Tales series. Jess’s stories explore themes such as – animal welfare, conserving our natural environment, loyalty, resilience, kindness and friendship. She enjoys using humour and action in her stories.
Jess lives in NSW with her husband, two daughters, their rescue dog and tyrannical cat. Jess loves animals and having adventures, much like the ones in her books!
