Katrina Roe

Katrina Roe is a children’s picture book author and radio presenter. She can be heard each weekday morning on Sydney’s Hope 103.2 radio. Gemma Gets the Jitters is Katrina’s fourth picture book. She has also published Marty’s Nut-Free Party (Shortlisted, Speech Pathology Book of the Year, 2012), Emily Eases Her Wheezes (CBCA Notable, 2015) and Same (Shortlisted, Caleb Prize, 2015), a true story about her brother, Charlie, who has cerebral palsy. Her next book, Lily’s Balloon, is due for release with Wombat Books in 2018. It’s a poignant, hopeful story about disappointment and loss with beguiling illustrations by Helene Magisson. Katrina is a long-time member of the illustrious Monday Night Children’s Writers’ Group at Writing NSW.
