Rodney Graham Turner
Rodney Graham Turner is a proud Yiidhuwarra man from the Lamalama Nation of the Princess Charlotte Bay region of Far North Queensland. Born and raised on Yuggera Country of Brisbane, before relocating to the land of the Gadigal in 1989. He has dedicated the last 30 years of his life learning to cultural immersion, off country, beginning with the completion of a Certificate III (1993) & Diploma of Dance (2000) at NAISDA Dance College.
Rodney has worked on many community-based arts projects including the inaugural Yabun Festival 2001, Sydney Dreaming 2002/3 and Yirramboi First Nations Arts Festival 2017.
As a facilitator of Gadla Warra (Fire Talk) he has led many audiences through the process providing a safe space for individuals and groups to connect more deeply with performances and artwork.
Currently Rodney works as an Aboriginal Mental Health worker with Sydney Local Health District.
