Tammy Close
Tammy is the Sector Investment Lead in the Arts Investment and Development team at Create NSW. She provides the arts and culture sector information, referral and guidance on the Arts and Cultural Development Program (ACDP). The ACDP provides funding opportunities for NSW-based arts and cultural organisations, NSW professional artists and arts/cultural workers across a wide range of artforms and disciplines.
She is a proud Butchulla, Yidinji woman from far North Queensland with a good solid pint of Scottish from her father’s side from Hunter Valley, she is also a very proud mother to 3 children and grandmother to 2 grandchildren.
In 2004, Tammy graduated from the National Aboriginal and Islander Skills Development Association (NAISDA) with a Diploma in Dance, this helped her deliver various cultural dance workshops to many schools and communities across NSW.
In 2012, Tammy graduated from the University of Technology, Sydney with a Bachelor of Arts in Adult Education and Community Management, her experience and expertise has led to many positions working in the NSW private sector, non-for profit sector and from local to state government sectors.
