As I was adding some maps for writers’ groups on the website, I found that here are so many writers’ groups near. It’s good to join a writing group and work with other people who have same interest. I think it can help writers get improve and it’s a good platform to share ideas.
4/7 Wednesday
After today, my internship will only have one week left. I can’t believe time passed so fast. I am adding some addresses into the database these days. Keep repeating the some same steps is a boring work, but I just want to help as much as I can before I leave.
6/7 Friday
Today is the final Friday for me at the NSWWC. I joined the First Friday Club again and today’s topic was about bookstores. It’s interesting to know something behind the scene. I am so glad I can join this event again because really can gain a lots. Also, this is a good platform to communicate with different people. It was a good experience for me too.
9/7 Monday
As doing the research of publishers, I found that there are so many publishers are willing to collect manuscript. It’s very nice that there are so many chances to publish a book. Of course, it’s not very easy too. There are many publishers announce that they’ve received so many manuscripts and need a long time to have a look of them. Even there are so many chances waiting for us, if you don’t fight for it, no one can offer you anything.
10/7 Tuesday
Tomorrow will be my last day. Time flies, everything seem a big dream. I surely will miss here, and I had so many good memories, the Newswrite, Blake Poetry Prize, huge mailing, First Friday Club and the festival. The time being here was really great and precious.
11/7 Wednesday (The End)
There are so many different fields in the translation industry; I had no idea which path should I go before. After this precious internship, I understand more about myself, also my interests of work. This is a great chance for me to try many different things that hardly can be approached in school. Having these little tastes really can help me for planning my future career. Last but not least, I really love Sydney this city and I surely will visit here again!
