3 June: Author Talk – Jade Timms in conversation with Gabbie Stroud: Golden Book Launch (Eden)

3 June: Fierce, Funny, True: Writing for Children with Lisa Shanahan (Lilyfield)

5 June: The Victorian Principle Book Launch with Michael Farrell (Newtown)
Join Michael Farrell to celebrate the release of The Victorian Principle, the award-winning Melbourne poet’s first book of fiction. The evening will be hosted by Astrid Lorange.

6 – 8 June: Bellingen Readers & Writers Festival (Bellingen)
Nestled in the stunning Mid North Coast of NSW, the Bellingen Readers & Writers Festival bursts with contemporary Australian voices, from acclaimed fiction writers and sharp political commentators to powerful First Nations creators, LGBTQI+ storytellers, and live performers who light up the stage.

6 June: Cowra Library: Last of the Calvary with Ana Scarf (Cowra)
Join Ana Scarf for what promises to be a most fascinating author talk and book launch. 

6 June: First Friday with Jacqueline Harvey (Online)
Join Jacqueline Harvey, acclaimed children’s author, to learn more about publishing for kids and young adults, and the upcoming Kids and YA Festival at Writing NSW.

6 – 8 June: Sydney International Storytelling Conference (Baulkham Hills)
This biennial conference draws participants, presenters and performers from all Australian States and territories as well as international countries. It is the only International Conference held in Australia that has a main focus on the tradition and practice of Oral Storytelling. 

6 June: Pictures of You by Emma Grey (Maitland)
Emma Grey will join Maitland Library to discuss her powerful new novel Pictures of You.

7 June: A Conversation with Two Writers (Darlinghurst)
Join two seasoned writers, Bing Yu and Garry Wotherspoon, as they discuss what it takes to successfully bring your words to life across a range of platforms.

7 June: June Write-In (Lilyfield)
 Join other writers in a series of quiet writing sessions of increasing length and dedicate time and space to reaching your writing goals.

10 June: Susannah Hardy in conversation with Lisa Darcy (Kiama)
Come along for an evening of romance as we present author Susannah Hardy as she chats with author Lisa Darcy (Christmas Actually) about her new book, My Hot Housemate.

11 June: Wait Here: Lucy Nelson in-conversation with Farz Edraki (Newtown)
Join Lucy Nelson to celebrate the release of Wait Here! Lucy will be in-conversation with Farz Edraki.

11 June: Online: Nature Writing with Inga Simpson (Online)
Throughout this course, author Inga Simpson will use a combination of instruction, inspiring examples of nature writing and practical writing exercises, with plenty of opportunity for group discussion to improve your writing about nature and the environment. 

11 June: Reading Between the Lines: The Lost Daughter by Elena Ferrante (Leichhart)
This month, the featured book for discussion is The Lost Daughter by Elena Ferrante. The guest presenter is Lily Patchett.

11 – 15 June: Looking for Alibrandi (Parramatta)
The beloved Australian classic novel and groundbreaking film comes alive on stage. With live pasta sauce making, traditional Italian music and a soundtrack of Australian pop classics, Looking for Alibrandi is a vibrant theatrical experience full of passion, laughs, and beauty.

11 June: Linda Jaivin – Bombard the Headquarters! (Glebe)

11 June: Author in-conversation – Tegan Bennett Daylight: How to Survive 1985 (Springwood)
Meet this accomplished Blue Mountains author and hear insights about her writing and new novel!

11 June: Visiting Author: Gina Chick (Shellharbour)

Jan Merriman is a Jane Austen expert and joins Kiama Library to celebrate 250 years since Jane Austen’s birth. Jan will speak for around an hour, then the Friends of Kiama Library invites you to join them for a glass of wine and some finger food.

21 – 22 June: Supernova Comic Con & Gaming Expo (Sydney Olympic Park)

26 June: Author Talk: Redefining Beauty Through Conversation (Albury)

26 June: Hugh White in conversation with Sam Roggeveen (Balmain)

The Rose Scott Women Writers Festival (RSWWF) showcases the rich diversity of contemporary Australian women writers across fiction and non-fiction, in print, performance, and digital media, exploring personal, social, and political issues.
