Q: What should I have with me during the workshop?
You might like to have a notebook and a pen with you so you can take notes during the workshop. Alternatively you could open a word document on your computer and take notes there.
Q: Will I be able to ask the tutor questions during the workshop?
Yes! You may ask questions by using the ‘Raise Hand’ feature in Zoom and waiting until called on before unmuting yourself. Alternatively, you may ask your question using Zoom’s chat function. We ask that any and all questions are appropriate and follow our Member and Community Code of Conduct. Anyone who is behaving in a disrespectful way will be removed from the workshop at our discretion.
Q: If I have technical difficulties during the workshop, what do I do?
Unfortunately Writing NSW are not able to provide technical support to participants during the workshop. If you are experiencing internet connectivity issues, you can try closing any background programs you have running on your computer. You can also try leaving the workshop, and then clicking the link again to rejoin and we will re-admit you.

A requirement of booking into this Zoom workshop is having a secure internet connection and confidence using basic computer software. If you have not used Zoom before but have used similar applications like FaceTime or Microsoft Teams, you shouldn’t have any issues. Zoom is very user-friendly.
We recommend joining the workshop from a computer or laptop for ease of accessibility.
Q. Will the workshop be recorded?
No. Due to the interactive nature of the Zoom workshops, sessions will not be recorded. This is to respect the privacy of participants.
Q. When will I receive the link to join the workshop?
You will receive the link to join the Zoom workshop a few days before the seminar. If you have not received the link by 3pm on the day of the workshop, please contact us.
Q. I’ve changed my mind or I can’t make it anymore. Can I get a refund?
Your enrolment is non-refundable. If you need to withdraw from a course, you must inform Writing NSW at least 14 days prior to course commencement to receive a full credit. Withdrawals made seven to thirteen days prior to course commencement will be eligible for a 50% credit. Any withdrawals made after this point will not be eligible for credit.
If Writing NSW cancels or withdraws a course for whatever reason, you can choose to either receive a credit or be refunded in full.
