Debra Adelaide

Debra Adelaide is the author or editor of 17 books, including novels, short stories, essays, and academic publications. Her novel The Household Guide to Dying (2008) was published around the world and short- or long-listed for several awards, including the former Orange Prize. Her most recent publications are the collection of short stories, Zebra (2019) which won the Steele Rudd Award in the Queensland Literary Awards, and The Innocent Reader (2019), essays on reading and writing. She is also Associate Professor at the University of Technology Sydney where she teaches creative writing in the postgraduate program.
