Writing Groups: Comedy
Back to all writing groupsComedy Writing – Central Coast
A new Writing Group on the Central Coast welcomes new members interested in comedy writing for beginners. Learn how to make any sentence funny and create comedy characters. As long as it’s comedy, any genre is welcome; Children and/or young adult fiction, Literary fiction, Memoir, Screen and/or stage, Poetry etc. The group will meet monthly for a trial period of approximately six months, depending on the interest. Please call or text the convenor Gab for more information.
Jacarandas
Our purpose is to encourage writers who are interested in sharing and expanding their writing in a friendly, non-competitive and safe environment. We meet twice a month in person, so that we have a chance to explore our writing by submitting between 500 and 2000 words each month.
Queer Writers Group
This writing group is for queer and queer-friendly people to exchange ideas about writing and share their work.
We hope to develop the skills of all who participate. With encouragement and discussion, we hope to enthuse participants to publish.
Scripto Libris
Scripto Libris is a spin off writers’ group from Alan Mill’s year long novel writing course. We are highly motivated and goal focused. Our aim is to write the best quality novel (and other writings) that each of us can produce.
WRITESTUFF
A group that spends time writing, after giving each other word prompts. We then share our work.
Anyone who’s a member of Writing NSW can come to WriteStuff sessions: it doesn’t matter how experienced you are as a writer, only that you are serious about writing and willing to encourage other members of the group.
