Writing Groups: Screen and StageBack to all writing groups
We are a group from all walks of life that meet once a month to offer feedback, motivation and support for people embarking on their own screenplay projects. In the 2 hour sessions, we do regular fun screenplay related exercises, we read (and act out) a scene from a famous screenplay, talk about what we watched that month, and of course discuss each others projects. New members welcome.
Women Writers Network
We are a combination of prose writers, poets, and playwrights. All at different levels of experience and expertise. All with the desire to become better at what we do. If you wish to read you’ll need to limit your prose to about 1000 words and have about 10 copies for us to edit as you read. Expect from eight to twelve women at any sitting and if all are reading it can be exhausting or impossible to achieve by 4pm. Unless there is great financial hardship, we all put in a gold coin each week. We welcome women writing in any genre at any stage, from just beginning to those who have been published and those struggling to be published. Many of us are a combination of both. The emphasis is on constructive feedback in a friendly, encouraging, but dedicated environment, fostering all stages of writing.
Allsorts Writing Group
We are a supportive, vibrant, intelligent and highly skilled bunch of writers. We write for the desire to create and express our own unique perceptions and voice. Our goal is to support each other and give positive and constructive feedback in a workshop situation. We are open to all work and find the variety stimulating.
