Event:

First Friday Club with Bronwyn Mehan

Friday 5 October 2018, 10-11:30am

Our next First Friday Club meeting falls on Friday 5 October and features Bronwyn Mehan, founder of short Australian fiction press, Spineless Wonders.

Spineless Wonders publishes brief fiction in all its forms – from short-short stories to novella. They are devoted to short, quality fiction produced by Australian writers.

Bronwyn looks for innovative ways to connect Australian authors with new audiences, collaborating with artists and organisations engaged in multi-media and performing arts. In late 2018, she will spend a month in New York as part of a Publishing Fellowship.

Program Officer Dan Hogan will chat to Bronwyn about her work, career journey and everything in between.

About First Friday Club

First Friday Club is a monthly event at Writing NSW, free and exclusive to members. The club takes place on the first Friday of every month (March-October) from 10am-11:30am. Each month a new guest speaker from the writing industry, be they author, editor, publisher or journalist, joins us for a group conversation about writing. This session is then followed by a delicious morning tea.

This members-only event is free, but RSVPs are essential.
