Event:

First Friday with Jacqueline Harvey

Friday 6 June, 12.30pm

First Friday, our monthly conversation with an industry professional, is a chance for our community to learn more about the writing and publishing industry. This June, we invite you to our online event with Jacqueline Harvey.

An accomplished best-selling author, Jaqueline is a vocal proponent for writing for children and young people, and the impact reading has on developing minds. She is also the Director for Writing NSW’s Kids and YA Writers Festival happening this August. In a wide ranging conversation Jacqueline will discuss her career as an author, the current trends in the YA publishing sector, what a festival for writers can achieve, and how you go about organising one.

This event starts online at 12:30pm, via Zoom, and will run for 60 minutes. If there is time, we will take audience questions at the end. First Friday events are free and open to members and non-members, but RSVPs are essential. You can also submit a question for Jacqueline in the ‘Additional Information – Order Notes’ section at Checkout.

Registered attendees will receive a link to access this event prior to the start time.

Jacqueline Harvey is one of Australia’s most popular authors for children. She has written over 60 books including the bestselling Alice-Miranda, Clementine Rose, Kensy and Max and the Willa and Woof series.
