Each year, Writing NSW partners with writers’ festivals across the state to present ‘Inside Publishing’, a panel discussion that explores the inner workings of the publishing world.

Writing NSW CEO Sophie Groom will be moderating the panel ‘Inside Publishing: Do I Need an Agent?’, where she will be in conversation with three industry experts: Jeanne Ryckmans (Key People Literary Management), Rochelle Fernandez (Alex Adsett Literary) and Daniel Pilkington, about what agents do, whether you actually need one, and how you can go about getting one.

This Inside Publishing panel will take place at the 2024 Words on the Waves Writers Festival on Saturday 1 June 2024, 10 am – 11 am.
