Do you want to write a novel in 2026? Are you keen to enrol in our popular Year of the Novel course, and want to hear from current participants about the experience?

Join us for our Year of the Novel celebration on Wednesday 3 December from 6.30pm at Writing NSW! You’ll hear readings from our 2025 participants and toast to their writing accomplishments along with current tutor Ashley Kalagian Blunt.

This event is free and open to all, but RSVPs are essential. 

Doors open at 6pm for a prompt 6:30pm start. The evening will conclude at approximately 8:30pm.

The event will begin with a short introduction to the course by Ashley Kalagian Blunt, followed by readings from this year’s cohort of writers. We’ll finish the evening with time for conversation and informal celebration with the writers and guests.

Our 2026 Year of the Novel course will run in-person at Writing NSW and online via Wet Ink and Zoom, on Monday and Wednesday evenings starting in February with tutors Ashley Kalagian Blunt (in-person stream) and Amy Lovat (online stream).
