Freelance writing can feel daunting when you’re first getting started, but as Zoya will unpack with participants, all you need are good ideas. The next step? Foundational skills in how to pitch and develop those ideas into publishable content.

From where and how to pitch in Australia, through to developing content and how to work with an editor, you will complete this course with a solid draft and a pitching plan to help get your work published.

Expected learning outcomes

Participants will:

  1. Learn what the Australian freelance landscape looks like, and where they can get published
  2. Learn how to craft a compelling pitch
  3. Learn how to self-edit and develop a piece from an idea through to publishing
  4. Learn how to create a strategic pitching plan to help get your work published.
