These days, there are expectations on writers beyond submitting their work or finishing a manuscript. They are asked to consider these questions: Do you have a website or blog? Do you need to be on social media? What is the best way to promote yourself? How do I engage with the industry and writing community? How can it all be managed effectively, without taking over your life?

This workshop will address the above questions and more, while assuring those new to this area that it’s not too late to begin. Opportunities await, including the potential to earn money.

Participant Requirements

Participants are encouraged to bring along a laptop as they will occasionally be asked to access the Wi-Fi to browse the internet. As most smart phones these days can also access the internet, participants may use those if they do not have a laptop. Most of all, participants are encouraged to bring along their favoured writing tools to take notes.
