This seminar will help grow your confidence in talking about your writing project, participating in events and best practice interviewing on either side of the microphone. Writer and podcaster, Kate Mildenhall will work through tips, strategies and activities to help you talk the talk with confidence so you can promote your writing project and build your professional skillset.

Whether you’re an emerging writer looking to pitch your book project to agents and publishers or you have several published books but want to build your speaking and interviewing skills for literary events, this seminar is for you.
We’ll cover:
- Pitching your writing project with confidence
- Effective interview skills for research
- How to engage in a compelling interview as guest or host
- Tips for making events work for you (and your book!)
- Strategies for surviving networking in the industry (and why ‘networking’ is not a dirty word!)

Participant Requirements
Bring a pen and paper, or fully charged device. Please note: this seminar will be set up lecture-style without desks, so a notebook is a better option for note-taking.
