Boundless 2023: Failed Writers’ Festival

Thursday 2 November, 7-9pm

Failed Writers’ Festival

Failed writers aren’t failures: they are the artists for whom the market has failed. The voices that are just as valid, just as intense, and have just as much to say – but are not so neatly packaged and edited. In many ways, these are the voices which are desperately needed in our fractious society of increased costs and housing shortages.

The featured writers for the inaugural Failed Writers’ Festival come from a range of diverse backgrounds and communities from around Sydney. Come and experience unique, diverse and important takes from a selection of writers.

At Petersham Bowling Club on Thursday 2 November, 7-9pm

This Boundless Festival 2023 event is run by Writing NSW, with support from Petersham Bowling Club.

The Failed Writers’ Festival is curated by Greg Page, one of our emerging curators for this year’s Boundless festival. Read about our 2023 curators.

The Boundless program gives emerging literary curators from First Nations or culturally diverse backgrounds the experience of programming an individual event in our 2023 event series. The festival will bring together established writers and emerging voices, giving space to writing in many forms.
