Phillipa McGuinness is the editor of Openbook, the glossy quarterly magazine of the State Library of NSW. A previous book publisher of many award-winning books of non-fiction, she is also the author of The Year Everything Changed — 2001 (2018) and Skin Deep: The inside story of our outer selves (2022), both published by Penguin Random House. Her work has appeared in The Guardianthe Sydney Morning HeraldGriffith ReviewMeanjinThe Weekend Australian MagazineThe Australian Women’s Weekly and Inside Story.
