Our First Friday Club series returns this year on Friday 6 March, featuring Mathilda Imlah, Publisher of Picador Australia.
In an illustrious career spanning over 12 years and two continents, Mathilda has held tenure as Editor at Atlantic Books and Corvus, and at Pan Macmillan Australia as Commissioning Editor and Publisher of Picador. In 2012, she co-founded Head of Zeus, London-based independent publisher of genre fiction, narrative non-fiction and children’s books. She currently chairs the ever-popular Feminist Writers Festival.
Join us as Writing NSW CEO Jane McCredie chats with Mathilda about Picador and Pan Macmillan, the publishing industry and her experience in the literature sector.
This event is free for members and morning tea is included.
About First Friday Club
First Friday Club is a monthly event at Writing NSW, free and exclusive to members. The club takes place on the first Friday of every month (March-October) from 10am-11:30am. Each month a new guest speaker from the writing industry, be they author, editor, publisher or journalist, joins us for a group conversation about writing. This session is then followed by a delicious morning tea (and cake!).
This members-only event is free, but RSVPs are essential.
